| Title of review |
Philips HQ8150 |
| What are the strengths? |
Excellent battery life from a lithium battery. A good close shave which doesn't irritate your skin. Much cheaper that the Philips HQ8170 model and the only difference seems to be the HQ8170 has a couple of extra LEDs indicating battery life. |
| What are the weaknesses? |
Expensive replacement heads which should be replaced approximately every 2 years. It's almost worth buying a new shaver rather than just replacing the heads. |
| Summary |
You should aim to get this shaver for around £65. I changed to using a Philips shaver after many years of using Braun. I've found the Philishave much better than the Braun particularly around the area under the neck which used to get sore with the Braun foil shaver. Also, Philishave heads are much more robust than Braun foils so you don't have to be quite so careful with the Philips. |
